Plyo Boxes for boosting performance
Adding plyo boxes to your workout does more than just increase your vertical jump. Using plyo boxes in performance training helps athletes become more explosive, increases leg strength, and "first step" reaction.Plyo boxes come in a variety of sizes, and the types of drills used in conjunction with them range from small jumps, quick/explosive jumps, speed stepping, and one/two legged jump drills.
Plyo boxes can also be combined with other training activities, such as performing a series of jumps or single jump, followed by an explosive sprint. Actions on the box can be performed both forward or laterally.

One foot--laterally--for results
Get off that one foot! Move laterally and increase your stability, balance, strength and quickness by training on one foot. Watch Josh in the above drill and see how he moves laterally onone foot while following these guidelines:
- Soft landings on "power pad" (forefoot)
- Staying square (no turning his body)
- Moving smoothly (no erratic motions)
Try out the one foot hops and see where it takes you!
