Vertical Jump for Explosive Sprinting

Looking to increase your leg speed and power? One way is to develop a good vertical jump!

The vertical Jump requires leg drive to maximize height and "air time", which needs to involve the element of explosiveness.

This explosiveness transfers over to leg drive when it comes to sprinting, as power pad (forefoot) drives into the ground increasing acceleration stride after stride.

When training the vertical jump, remember to dip at the hips and drive into the ground. Extend arms into the arm and reach up towards your maximum height. Land on your power pads and then onto you entire foot.

Reset and repeat!
